Website maintenance involves monthly updates to the CMS and plugins on the website to keep the site up to date and to protect, as far as practical, against known security vulnerabilities. It is important to note that It is not possible to defend against unknown or zero-day security threats. This is not a website security solution, this is a maintenance service which aims to reduce the probability of hacking by installing security plugins and updating / patching plugins and the CMS to protect against known vulnerabilities.  As with all websites, there is always a risk of unauthorised entry, even with expert CMS hardening by professional cybersecurity companies.         

It is essential to check for and perform (if required) monthly updates to all plugins, software and website templates to ensure they are up to date and protect against vulnerabilities. Backups of the database will also be required prior to patching and updating. This gives you peace of mind that the site can be rolled-back to the last working version in the event of a critical failure or cyberattack.
