We generally build websites on the latest WordPress CMS version with optimum security and stability being a main focus. WordPress is one of the world’s largest open source CMS platforms that is also currently in use by some of the largest online retailers & businesses. WordPress is feature rich, highly customisable and has an intuitive administration interface that provides an unrivalled rich online experience capable of being managed by website admin novices. There are minimal licence costs (generally some premium third-party plugins) and management and integration costs are considerably lower compared to many other content management systems. WordPress is SEO loaded and an excellent tool for onsite SEO and ensuring easy integration with digital marketing tools and platforms.

At this stage in the development process we focus on content migration, optimising the code, the speed of the website, content responsiveness and any other interactive elements on the website. We will identify a selection of whitelisted plugins (which can be pre-installed, but not activated unless in use) and implement core functionality elements (such as contact forms, analytics tracking, custom post types, content/blog functionality etc.). Again, these functionality elements will be available in the theme, not necessarily used by every brand website.

Digital Marketing Readiness

A key benefit of using a theme-based approach will be intrinsic digital marketing capabilities. What this means is that upon launch, no further development will be required for the marketing team to implement the range of digital marketing tactics and optimisation procedures including search engine optimisation (technical & on-page), creation of landing pages, creation of forms, A/B split testing, implementing 301 redirects, renaming URLs and implementation of tracking tags (via Google Tag Manager which will need to be implemented correctly on the site).
