Using research and digital audits to shape a FinTech growth strategy

A structured research, audit and feasibility programme designed to help a financial-technology organisation prioritise markets, understand buyer journeys and make more evidence-led digital investment decisions.

The organisation needed a clearer basis for deciding which markets, audiences, messages and digital channels should receive investment before scaling demand-generation activity.

The challenge

A financial-technology organisation operating across multiple markets needed to strengthen the evidence behind its digital growth decisions. The central question was not simply how to generate more activity, but where digital investment was most likely to be commercially useful and how marketing, website experience, analytics and sales should work together.

The organisation needed a clearer view of priority audiences, search behaviour, competitor activity and the digital journey from early awareness through to qualified commercial interest. It also needed to understand whether its website, analytics and conversion infrastructure were ready to support more sophisticated demand-generation activity.

Because market selection, audience behaviour, channel economics and internal sales capacity were closely connected, the task required more than a conventional campaign plan. DSC structured the engagement around research, digital-readiness audits, controlled feasibility testing and strategic synthesis so that scaling decisions could be based on stronger evidence.

What we did

  1. Build the evidence baseline

We reviewed the organisation’s existing digital data and market context, combining audience research, search and competitor analysis, historical performance review and digital-readiness assessment to establish a common starting point.

  2. Audit the digital journey and measurement

We assessed the website, SEO foundations, analytics, conversion tracking, landing-page experience and form journeys to identify where measurement or user-experience weaknesses could distort subsequent testing or decision-making.

  3. Test demand-generation feasibility

We designed and managed controlled feasibility activity across selected audience, message, channel and market combinations to understand where meaningful engagement and conversion signals were strongest before wider investment.

  4. Turn test evidence into strategic choices

We analysed channel, market, audience, content and commercial signals to identify which combinations warranted greater attention and to shape a more focused digital strategy.

  5. Create a scalable activation framework

We translated the findings into an activation plan covering prioritisation, campaign structure, content and landing-page considerations, measurement, optimisation and alignment with the organisation’s sales process.

What the organisation received

A clearer audience and journey model

A more structured view of priority personas, their information needs, digital touchpoints and progression towards qualified commercial interest.

A digital-readiness baseline

A consolidated assessment of search, analytics, landing-page and conversion foundations that could affect future demand-generation performance.

A feasibility-testing framework

A controlled way to compare markets, audiences, channels and messages before committing larger budgets or internal resource.

A prioritised growth strategy

Strategic direction connecting research and test evidence to market prioritisation, activation planning, measurement and sales alignment.

Evidence

Evidence and scope

The engagement gave the organisation a structured evidence base for prioritising markets, audiences, channels and digital investment before scaling a broader demand-generation programme.

Method

First-hand consultancy work combining audience and market research, competitor and search analysis, analytics and SEO audits, landing-page and conversion review, controlled demand-generation feasibility testing, performance analysis and strategic planning.

Evidence context

The work focused on a complex B2B financial-technology proposition operating across multiple international markets, with particular attention to market selection, buyer journeys, digital readiness, channel feasibility, measurement and alignment between marketing and sales.

Limitations

The available source pack supports the completed research, audit, feasibility and strategic planning activities under the authorised proposal-completion assumption. It does not contain independently verified post-programme lead volumes, acquisition costs, revenue impact, market-share change or return on investment. No such outcome is claimed.
